Support The Depot

Why Support The Depot?

Darien as a community is checking every box for youth success in academics, the arts and athletics. But the incidences of social and other stresses in our young people’s lives is on the rise, leading to deeper concerns in areas like anxiety, depression and other emotional and behavioral troubles. Our commitment to supporting our children’s mental health has never been stronger.

The Depot is unique as it is not home and not school – it’s the third place. A place for our kids to be themselves and connect with their peers.

The Depot is Darien’s judgment free, safe home-away-from-home to discover human connections, leadership opportunities and wellness education. The Depot programs last year reached 2,600 kids, building a foundation of confidence and a skill set to make healthy choices for life!

Because of generous donors like you, The Depot can evolve with the immediate needs of our youth. Thank you for making an impact today! For any questions donating to The Depot, please contact Amy Daniels, Executive Development Director.

One Can’t Happen Without the Other!

Volunteer Opportunities

The Depot puts on several events during the academic year that require extra adult hands and we could use your help! Some events include helping with the 5th-grade parties and the 6th grade Ice Cream Social – this is a great way for you and your child to learn all about The Depot as they enter the middle school years. We also need help putting on our fundraising events, Annual Appeal and Senior Graduation Balloon Day. If you are interested in receiving a notification when adult volunteers are needed, please email

To make in-kind donations to The Depot, please contact Executive Director, Amy Daniels.
